This past weekend was Miss Heather's 23rd birthday!
We spent days and days planning, crafting and decorating and it turned out to be one of the best parties ever! It was black and white themed so we created a pinata, glitter disco balls, cake pops, chocolate cover marshmallows and pretzels, polka dots for the walls and strung white lights across the ceiling. Below are some photos from the party that we wanted to share!

Did I mention that Miss Heather wore a white romper and I wore a black jumpsuit? It was amazing!

For our spring break, Miss Heather, Tom, Tim and I are all going on a road trip to Colorado. Today I found myself counting down the days until we are there!

I'm dreaming of mountains, streams and crisp air.

Color Me Rad!

Miss Heather and I just signed up to do the "Color Me Rad" 5K in April.
It's a 5K where we will be doused in color and there's a celebration at the end where you dance and throw color bombs around. This is our kind of run! We're really excited to do it!
Come join us in Springfield, MO or sign up in your own town!

Monday, Monday

To brighten up your Monday, check out John Legend covering Bruce Springsteen's Dancing in the Dark. I think it's so beautiful and apparently, Bruce himself even likes it!

Mardi Gras Weekend!

Got any fun plans for Mardi Gras this weekend?
In St. Louis, Mardi Gras is always a huge deal. We celebrate with a parade downtown and there are parties going on all day long!

DIY: Valentine's Day Countdown

So to elaborate on Miss Mel's post from Monday, I have to add my own Valentine's Day gift idea. Well I guess this was more of a countdown to "Love Day". Since my boyfriend and I don't live in the same town I thought I would send him some fun little lovey notes. For every day until Valentine's Day I sent him a little note telling him a reason why I love him! (Yes I know it sounds quite sappy but if you knew us, you'd know the notes were quite opposite) I made little pocket cards to hold his notes and then mailed them to him!

Card stock
Embroidery needle

Step One:
Measure 14 square/rectangles smaller than your envelopes out of your card stock. Cut them out. once you're finished with the card stock, do the same with the fabric.

Step Two:
First you need to thread your yarn through the embroidery needle. Next sew the fabric to three sides of the card stock. Tie a knot at either end and cut off the extras. That fourth, unsewn or open, side will be where you slide in your love notes!

Step Three:
Write out your love notes for each day. *I didn't think a picture would be needed, since you should probably know aht you love about that certain someone if your making one of these!*

Step Four:
All that is left is slip your notes inside and label each card for a certain day! Since I was mailing these across the state I put each card in an envelope and sent them on their way!

I made these up as a surprise, so I put this up after he had already started receiving his little love notes. But these little pocket cards are a great idea for any sort of event where you want to jazz up a hand written card!

DIY: Door Decoration

It's February and that means its the season of love. That's right it's that one time of year where anywhere you go you get attacked by babies with wings shooting you with hearts. It's one of the more ridiculous holidays we celebrate but I can't help but be sucked into it!

This year I got a little help from some friends and put the phrase "I love you" up on my door in all sorts of fun languages! There's Chinese, Korean, Arabic, French and a few others. I just love the international love going on! Hope everyone has a great February!

What are your plans for this weekend?
I'm headed to see my little brother play basketball (Go Westminster Blue Jays!) and looking forward to sleeping in! eee!
I love this photo of the President and First Lady.

I have had this song stuck in my head all week.

This jacket is so cute!
I would wear it with skinny jeans and booties!

This couple is too adorable for words.

Sweet and Simple.

How to wear a cat sweater and look cool while doing it.

I need to learn how to do this
Weekend goal perhaps?

It's February 1st, meaning Miss Heather's 23rd birthday is only 23 days away!

Have fun this weekend! Live it up!
